4 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies have an offer on the table for free-agent catcher J.T. Realmuto, but the other offers around the league for the best all-around catcher in baseball remain unknown. The 29-year-old is believed to be looking for a record-setting deal for a catcher, but the Phillies have made it known that they play to cut payroll after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Realmuto has also been linked to the Yankees, Rangers and Astros after slashing .266/.349/.491 with 11 home runs and 32 RBI in 47 games during the shortened 2020 campaign. The Mets were another potential landing spot, but they are out of the picture after signing James McCann. Realmuto is the top offensive backstop in baseball and should be the first catcher off the board in fantasy drafts, regardless of where he ends up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
