Anthony Edwards Rookie Outlook
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward/guard Anthony Edwards was the No. 1 overall pick in this season's NBA Draft, but he might not be the rookie that you reach for first during your fantasy basketball drafts. Edwards landed on a team that already has a lot of solid players who can play on the wing, making his path to immediate minutes more complicated than it might be for players like James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball. Edwards has a great physical profile and should be able to power his way to the basket on drives, and if he can figure his shot out a little more, he'll be able to be the best player from this draft. But it's hard to ignore that there have already been concerns about Edwards and his effort in college, and while he'll provide solid rebounding and steal numbers, the efficiency concerns are just a little too much. Edwards is worth a late-round pick, as long as you're patient with him.
