Brandin Cooks Not Expected To Play
4 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks (foot, neck) isn't expected to play against the Bears, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. There were conflicting reports regarding Cooks' status, though barring a significant improvement, Rapoport says that Cooks will ultimately sit out the contest. Keke Coutee (knee), who was already an appealing play without the presence of Will Fuller V (suspension), would be a viable WR2 play without Cooks in the lineup. Fellow wideout Chad Hansen and tight end Jordan Akins should also see more looks in the passing game. Now down two of his better wideouts, Deshaun Watson is more like a low-end QB1 with limited upside for Week 14.
