Garbage Time Salvage's Mitchell Trubisky's Final Line
4 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky completed 26-of-46 passes for 242 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Bears disappointing 41-25 loss to the Packers in Week 12. Trubisky was inserted back in as starter for the first time since being benched in Week 3 and the results were, predictably, mixed. The Bears Defense put the offense in a hole early and the deficit was worsened due to some bad mistakes by Trubisky. He threw a ball deep to Darnell Mooney into double coverage that was intercepted that eventually resulted in a Packers touchdown. He then lost a fumble that was scooped up and ran back for another score. Later in the game, however, Trubisky was able to piece together two scoring drives to salvage a very inconsistent effort. Despite the outcome, Trubisky will have low-level fringe fantasy appeal next week against a Lions team that, throughout his career, the quarterback has dominated in the past.
