Leonard Fournette Fails To Make An Impact In Loss
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette failed to do much in a 27-24 loss to the Chiefs. Fournette saw just six touches but mustered only 20 scrimmage yards, as he took a backseat to Ronald Jones II. This is starting to become a trend for Fournette, who has seen playing time but has been out-touched by Jones 44-24 over the last three weeks. The talent is clearly there, but aside from his explosive game against Carolina, the former Jaguar has been a disappointment in Tampa Bay. The coaching staff seems to prefer Jones as the lead dog, which doesn't mean Fournette is completely out of the picture, though he certainly seems to be playing second fiddle. He'll get a Week 13 bye before taking on the Vikings, where he'll be more of a low-end flex play.
