Broncos Defense Unable To Slow Down Falcons Offense
4 years agoThe Denver Broncos Defense didn't step up to the task in the 34-27 loss to the Falcons on the road in Week 9. In standard-scoring leagues, they gave their fantasy managers just three points on the day. It was also the second straight week that they allowed 30-plus points. Denver was picked apart by Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who went 25-for-35 for 284 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Standout safety Justin Simmons recorded the team's lone takeaway of the game, something that the Broncos D has struggled with in 2020. They were also only able to get to Ryan for two sacks in the ballgame. Things will get a bit easier in Week 10 against the division-rival Raiders, but Denver's D just doesn't have much upside minus all their defensive stars.
