Lavonte David Suffers Hyperextended Knee
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David (knee) suffered a hyperextended knee in the blowout loss to the division-rival Saints on Sunday night, but he's expected to be fine going forward. David was able to record four solo tackles and three assists while also recovering a fumble in Week 9. The 30-year-old from Nebraska is a weekly starter in IDP leagues at his position and has accumulated the fourth-most fantasy points among linebackers through nine weeks of the season. Overall, David has 67 tackles (48 solo), six tackles for loss, three QB hits, one interception, four passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and 1.5 sacks. The Buccaneers Defense was a major disappointment against New Orleans, but they could bounce back in a Week 10 meeting with the Panthers, who could be without star running back Christian McCaffrey (shoulder).
