Justin Herbert Named The Starter Going Forward
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn named rookie quarterback Justin Herbert the starter under center moving forward. Lynn supported Tyrod Taylor as the starter before his chest injury in Week 2, but Lynn was also instrumental in selecting Herbert sixth overall in the draft in April and strongly believes in the Oregon product. It helps that Herbert has really impressed in his three starts in 2020, going over 290 passing yards in each of his three games, including a career-high three touchdowns against Tampa in Week 4. Herbert is absolutely worth adding off the waiver wire as a QB2 with upside in your league if he's available. New Orleans has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to QBs so far this year, too, so the rookie will be a solid QB2 on Monday night against the Saints. Taylor can be dropped in most fantasy leagues at this point.
