Framber Valdez Limits A's To Two Runs In Win
4 years agoHouston Astros starter Framber Valdez pitched seven quality innings as the Astros defeated the A's 5-2 in Game 2 of the ALDS. This marks two superb outings for Valdez, who came out of the bullpen to pitch five scoreless innings in the Wild Card Round. But the left-hander got the ball from the start in this game and allowed only two solo home runs while striking out four. Valdez mystified the A's on August 8 when he pitched allowed only one run through seven innings and continued to have their number in this crucial game. Valdez hopes this is not his last appearance of the season as the Astros will try and sweep the A's in Game 3.
