Nick Foles Steps In, Delivers Furious Comeback Win
4 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Nick Foles completed 16-of-29 passes for 188 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the Bears thrilling 30-26 comeback win over the Falcons. The Bears trailed 26-10 midway through the third quarter when head coach Matt Nagy pulled the plug on Mitchell Trubisky and went to Foles. The veteran passer came off the bench to torch the Falcons and leading the Bears to 20 fourth-quarter points for the victory. Foles almost had five touchdown passes but two were reversed after review, one of them leading to his lone interception in the game. Nagy was tight-lipped about the Bears quarterback situation moving forward but it will be hard to justify not sticking with Foles heading into Week 4.
