Donald Cerrone Gets A Draw In Co-Main Event
4 years agoA point deduction in the first round against his opponent saved Donald Cerrone (36-15-1) from suffering his fifth loss in a row. The bout was tightly contested in the standup game, with neither fighter landing a takedown, though Cerrone attempted five. On the striking end, Cerrone landed 113 significant strikes. Due to Niko Price's multiple eye-poke infractions in the first round, the referee deducted a point, which ultimately led to the majority draw. It has now been five fights since Cerrone has secured a win. One has to wonder how much the Cowboy wants to keep going. Fantasy wise, he should only be rostered if it appears to be a showcase fighter for the future Hall of Famer.
