David Montgomery Expected To Miss 2-4 Weeks

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery left Wednesday's practice with a non-contact injury, but it looks like he avoided a worst-case scenario. Ian Rapoport reports that Montgomery is dealing with a groin injury that's expected to keep him off the field for two to four weeks. That time frame makes it possible that Montgomery is back for the season opener against the Lions. Montgomery is an interesting option as a low-end RB2 with some upside this year, though if he does miss a week or two of the season, he becomes more risky. Tarik Cohen receives a bump for any game that Montgomery misses, though the rest of the rostered running backs don't inspire much fantasy confidence if they're forced into action.
