Trevor Rosenthal Records His Seventh Save
Trevor Rosenthal continued his stellar comeback season on Tuesday, closing out the team's 5-4 win against his former team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Rosenthal allowed a hit and two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning to earn his seventh save of the year. He's converted all seven of his save opportunities and has a 1.46 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP this season. There have been some trade rumors circulating around Rosenthal, which could end up either good or bad for him, but for now, fantasy owners should remain confident in him as the clear closer for the Royals, providing a steady source of saves.

Trevor Rosenthal Won't Be Ready For Opening Day
Trevor Rosenthal in spring training to make sure that he stays healthy. Manager A.J. Hinch didn't put a timetable on Rosenthal's readiness for games and said "Opening Day is not something that's feasible." "It does not matter when he's ready, as long as he's healthy." Rosenthal isn't dealing with any injury currently, but he's had a long list of ailments in recent seasons. The 32-year-old just signed a minor-league deal with Detroit over the weekend. Thoracic outlet syndrome has kept him out of the big leagues since the shortened 2020 season, so it's anyone's guess as to how effective he'll be with the Tigers in 2023.

Tigers Sign Trevor Rosenthal To Minor-League Deal
Trevor Rosenthal. The 32-year-old will receive an invitation to Spring Training and a chance to earn a roster spot in Detroit. Rosenthal hasn't pitched since 2020, but he was solid during that season. He posted a 1.90 ERA with 38 strikeouts and only eight walks with 11 saves in 23 games between the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres. He could very well work his way into high-leverage situations quickly in Detroit. The Tigers don't exactly have much competition at closer. Rosenthal will be someone worth watching during Spring Training.

Trevor Rosenthal Says He's Healthy
Trevor Rosenthal (lat) said he is healthy and is looking for an opportunity to pitch in 2023. Rosenthal last pitched in the big leagues in the shortened 2020 season with the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres, posting a legitimate 1.90 ERA (2.22 FIP), a 0.84 WHIP, 11 saves and 38 strikeouts in 23 2/3 relief innings. He then signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Athletics for the 2021 season but never pitched after having thoracic outlet surgery on his shoulder and then surgery to fix a torn labrum in his hip that summer. Rosenthal signed with the San Francisco Giants late this season, but hamstring and lat injuries kept him from pitching with the team. It remains to be seen if a team will take a chance on the hard-throwing, injury-prone right-hander for the 2023 season.

Trevor Rosenthal "Likely" Out For The Season
Trevor Rosenthal (hamstring, lat) is "likely" out for the remainder of the season. He sustained a lat injury similar to teammate Freddy Peralta that caused the right-hander to miss nearly three months. Rosenthal had missed a lot of time recovering from a hamstring issue and was on track to return to Milwaukee's bullpen until sustaining a lat injury. The 32-year-old hasn't pitched since 2020 and will look to make a full recovery for 2023. Rosenthal posted a 1.90 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and was 11-for-12 in save opportunities across 23 2/3 innings in 2020.
