4 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Joey Bart, one of the organization's top prospects, is getting called up on Thursday. The Giants are facing the Los Angeles Angels in a night game on Thursday and while lineups are yet to be announced, it's likely Bart will be making his debut in the game. Bart was the second overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, one pick behind fellow recent call up Casey Mize. Bart has shown a lot of promise in the minors the past few years. Last year, split between High-A and Double-A, he slashed .278/.328/.495 with 16 home runs and 48 RBI in just 79 games. He's worth a speculative add in all deep leagues and NL-only leagues for anyone in need of catcher help. Chadwick Tromp and Tyler Heineman have split catching duties for the Giants this year, but both are hitting under .200 and would likely be usurped by Bart if he stays up.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
