Joe Gibbs Racing's Erik Jones crossed the line in a disappointing 27th-place in Sunday's Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Jones started 10th and looked to be as strong as he was in Saturday's race. Jones scored some much-needed stage points in both stages but dropped hard in the final stint of the race. The finish was disheartening as Jones fell further behind the playoff point cut-line, after running so strong for most of the race. Jones will have four more regular-season races to close the gap, or reach victory lane, to get the No. 20 into the post-season before his departure from JGR.--John Pitucci - RotoBaller
