Gleyber Torres Leaves Game Early
New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (elbow) was removed from the game in the bottom of the fourth inning on Thursday. Torres was hit in the elbow by a 95 mph fastball in the top of the first inning and was looked at by trainers before staying in the game for one more at-bat. It’s not clear if the Yankees are just being extra-cautious with the 23-year-old or if his elbow really bothered him in his second at-bat, but Torres’s removal should worry fantasy players who roster him. Tyler Wade came in at shortstop on Thursday and is likely to fill in if Torres misses any time.
