Jake Marisnick Hits IL With Hamstring Ailment
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Jake Marisnick has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a strained left hamstring. Marisnick was being used primarily as a defensive replacement late in games, having gone just 1-for-4 at the plate across five games. To take Marisnick’s spot on the roster, the Mets have called up outfielder Ryan Cordell. Brandon Nimmo and J.D. Davis could see a slight fantasy uptick without Marisnick around to serve as a defensive replacement late in games, potentially allotting the aforementioned duo an additional at-bat or two over a week’s span.
