Aledmys Diaz Placed On Injured List
4 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Aledmys Diaz (groin) was placed on the Injured List on Saturday. He is dealing with a groin strain that could keep him out for a few weeks. The strain is reportedly between a grade 1 and a grade 2. Diaz started as a designated hitter in the Astros' first game of the season on Friday, hitting eighth. The injury forced him to leave the game after two at-bats and he was replaced by Abraham Toro. In Saturday's game, Kyle Tucker got the start at DH and went 1-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Tucker could be the biggest riser from the absence of Diaz and should be monitored in all leagues. Diaz, meanwhile, can be dropped or left on waivers in just about all leagues.
