Kole Calhoun Tests Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Kole Calhoun has tested positive for COVID-19, according to manager Torey Lovullo. Calhoun is asymptomatic and is feeling great, however. The 32-year-old must return two negative tests in order to join the team's workouts at Chase Field. He had a career-high 33 home runs and 74 RBI in his final season with the Angels in 2019, but Calhoun also hit just .232/.325/.467. There's a chance he might not be ready for the start of the regular season. If that were to happen, Tim Locastro and Josh Rojas could platoon in right field. Calhoun is strictly a power option late in mixed league drafts, and he also struggles against left-handed pitchers.
