Rob Gronkowski 2020 Outlook: New Team, Same Gronk?
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski (still sounds weird, right?) is back and reunited with quarterback Tom Brady once again. Normally, two men working in New England who retired or considered retirement moving down to Florida wouldn't be news, but this is a special circumstance. The Tampa Bay offense has tons of players who will demand and deserve targets, and tight ends Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard look set to be back on the field in 2020 as well. Gronk may not be a focal point like he was in his Patriots seasons, but he should still have a role and we've all seen him excel at the goal line. Bucs coach Bruce Arians noted that he could see Gronk playing up the seam and from the slot. Gronk's exact role may not be clear yet, but it's pretty obvious that he'll be on the field a lot and has an excellent chance to finish as a TE1 once again.
