Brandon Kintzler Spins a Perfect Inning on Tuesday

Miami Marlins relief pitcher Brandon Kintzler tossed a perfect 1-2-3 inning in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the New York Mets. Kintzler came in for the fifth inning and made quick work of his inning, retiring the side in order. It was an encouraging sign from Kintzler after an uncharacteristically wild, four-walk outing his last time out. Kintztler is manager Don Mattingly's preference for the closer role, so even though his groundball tendencies make him better suited for a setup/fireman role, Mattingly will likely make the wrong decision and avoid him at all costs until the ninth inning. It'll give Kintzler some fantasy value, of course, but he'll mostly contribute in just the saves category.
