James Paxton Thinks He Can Return In May

New York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (back) said that he was told he can resume throwing in four to six weeks, and the Yankees think the left-hander could return in May or June. Paxton said he thinks that a May return is possible. Fantasy owners would be wise not to get their hopes up if Paxton doesn't return before June. The 31-year-old was 15-6 with a 3.82 ERA and 1.28 WHIP while striking out 186 and walking 55 in 29 starts (150 2/3 innings) in his first year in New York in 2019. He's had a K/9 above 10.0 each of the last three seasons, but his fantasy price has obviously dropped now that he could miss around half the season.
