James Paxton Thinks He Can Return In May
5 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (back) said that he was told he can resume throwing in four to six weeks, and the Yankees think the left-hander could return in May or June. Paxton said he thinks that a May return is possible. Fantasy owners would be wise not to get their hopes up if Paxton doesn't return before June. The 31-year-old was 15-6 with a 3.82 ERA and 1.28 WHIP while striking out 186 and walking 55 in 29 starts (150 2/3 innings) in his first year in New York in 2019. He's had a K/9 above 10.0 each of the last three seasons, but his fantasy price has obviously dropped now that he could miss around half the season.
