Red Sox, Pirates Interested In Kevin Pillar
5 years agoThe market for outfielder Kevin Pillar is heating up, with the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates among the interested teams. Pillar spent time with the Blue Jays and Giants in 2019 and hit .259/.287/.432 with a career-high 21 home runs, 88 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 161 games. Most of the damage he did came in San Francisco, as he played in just five games in Toronto before being traded. The 31-year-old is more known for his glove work in center field, but he can be productive in stretches for fantasy owners with his mix of speed and power. Pillar would have a better shot at more consistent playing time with the rebuilding Bucs, but he could also be attractive in DFS and deeper leagues as a platoon outfielder in Boston.
