Twins Could Be Interested In Taijuan Walker
5 years agoThe Minnesota Twins could be interested in signing starting pitcher Taijuan Walker to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. The Mariners are also known to be interested in a reunion with the former first-round pick. Walker, 27, has made just four starts over the last two seasons because of Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. In seven seasons in the big leagues, he has a 3.95 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 8.1 K/9 in 528 1/3 innings over 94 starts. There's uncertainty about how healthy Walker's arm actually is, but if he can bounce back and proves his health, he could be a nice weapon as a fallback option for Minnesota's starting rotation. Walker must prove his health and win a rotation spot with whoever signs him for him to become fantasy relevant again.
