J.J. Arcega-Whiteside To See Expanded Role
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside will see an expanded role in the offense with Jordan Matthews now gone, according to head coach Doug Pederson. Arcega-Whiteside impressed the coaching staff in the preseason and was a popular rookie sleeper heading into the regular season, but it hasn't materialized in his rookie season. The 22-year-old has just five receptions for 86 yards in four games this season, and he failed to make an impact in Week 12 against the Seahawks with both Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor out with injuries. Arcega-Whiteside could see his production pick up down the stretch as the No. 3 wideout, but it's still unlikely he moves the needle in redraft leagues.
