Rashaad Penny Has His Best Day Ever
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny put up his best day ever in the NFL when he rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's win against the Eagles on Sunday. Penny was coming off a game in San Francisco where he was only on the field for eight snaps total, but he got off to a good start against Philly and held on to the action. Head coach Pete Carroll seemed to embrace using some unexpected offensive pieces on Sunday, giving Penny more carries than normal starter Chris Carson and running flea flicker to fifth-string wide receiver Malik Turner, so it's likely this is just a one-off. That said, Carroll is known for his tricky ways and Carson's carries have been really high so far this season, so this could be the start of a nice little run for Penny to help the team prepare for the playoffs.
