Kaapo Kakko Finds Score Sheet Twice In Win
5 years agoNew York Rangers forward Kaapo Kakko tallied a pair of power-play assists to help lead his team to a 4-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. Despite the 18-year-old missing two games over the past weekend due to the flu, he was able to extend to his personal point streak to three games (three goals, two assists) in picking up the two points in the contest. Selected with the second-overall draft pick this summer by the Rangers, Kakko is already proving that he can produce on the big stage. Registering just three points through his initial 10 games, the Finnish native is looking a lot more comfortable (and also dangerous) - posting a point-per-game, four power-play points and 12 shots in his last seven tilts. It would be difficult to take Kakko out of your starting lineup at this point.
