Gardner Minshew Could Remain Starter
5 years agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew could remain the team's starting quarterback even after Nick Foles (collarbone) is ready to return, which is expected to be in Week 11 after the team's Week 10 bye. There's a lot riding on the Week 9 contest against the Texans in London for Minshew as a result. The 23-year-old has been a savior for the Jags in the absence of Foles, throwing for 1,976 yards, 13 touchdowns and only two interceptions in eight games. He doesn't have high-end QB1 upside on a weekly basis, but Minshew Mania has been a serviceable low-end QB1 streamer in recent weeks in solid matchups. He's been a strong QB2 for those in two-QB leagues.
