Zack Greinke May Have Short Leash In Game 7
5 years agoHouston Astros starter Zack Greinke will take the mound with a championship on the line in Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday night. In four postseason starts this season, Greinke is 0-2 with a 5.30 ERA, a 1.61 WHIP and has allowed 22 hits through 18 2/3 innings pitched. The veteran allowed only one run in 4 2/3 innings earlier in the series but Greinke is no sure thing to produce. Opponents are hitting .289 against Greinke in the playoffs and expect manager A.J. Hinch to have a very short leash early in the game. The Astros would most likely turn to Jose Urquidy out of the bullpen first if Greinke falters.
