Justin Verlander Can't Seal The Deal
5 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander allowed three runs in five innings pitched as the Astros fell to the Nationals 7-2 in Game 6 of the World Series. With a championship on the line, Verlander struggled again in the early innings. He came into the game with a 16.20 ERA in the first inning of his postseason starts and the Nationals pounced in the first inning for an early 1-0 lead. Verlander is on course for a surefire spot in the Hall of Fame but is now 0-6 lifetime in World Series starts with a 5.68 ERA. He most likely will not be available for a Game 7.
