C.J. Cron May Need Surgery
5 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman C.J. Cron (thumb), who had been bothered by a bone bruise in his thumb for most of the second half of the season, could need surgery to fix the issue. Cron was put on the injured list twice, and the injured limited his ability at the plate down the stretch. The 29-year-old finished the season hitting .253/.311/.469 with 25 home runs and 78 RBI, but he was much better in the first half before his thumb injury. Cron has some pop and can drive in runs but doesn't do much else for fantasy owners. You can do much worse for a corner infielder in AL-only leagues, though.
