Patric Hornqvist Suffers Injury In Tuesday's Loss
5 years agoPittsburgh Penguins forward Patric Hornqvist suffered a lower-body-injury in his team's eventual 4-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. The 32-year-old skated just 2:50 of ice time in the contest, departing early after getting struck by a slap shot from Penguins defenseman Kris Letang. The blast resulted in Hornqvist immediately falling to the ice and subsequently limping to the Penguins bench - appearing to put very limited weight on one of his legs. Pens head coach Mike Sullivan did not have an update on Hornqvist's injury following the game but did mention the team would likely have more information on Wednesday. Any potential missed time could be a big blow to fantasy owners as the 12-year NHL veteran was skating on the team's first line with Sidney Crosby and had posted two goals in his first two games of the campaign.
