Lou Williams 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoA lot of things are different with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019. For the past two seasons, the Clippers have essentially been a rag-tag group of overachievers who managed to make the postseason last year. This year, they're one of the title favorites with the addition of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. That leaves their top option last season -- guard Lou Williams -- in a tough spot. He's still the team's sixth-man, but last season he was only technically a bench player, getting a good chunk of the minutes and averaging 20 points per game for the second year in a row. I'd be surprised if he makes it three straight seasons, but Williams should still score in the mid-to-high teens and see an increase in his efficiency. He should continue to post some of the best assist numbers of his career and is worth a pick someone around 75th overall.
