Alex Verdugo Unlikely To Play In Postseason
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Alex Verdugo (oblique) is unlikely to return at any point in the postseason, according to manager Dave Roberts. Verdugo hasn't played an MLB game since Aug. 4, so even if he were to be close to ready if the Dodgers advance to the World Series, he may not be an option for a stacked Dodgers club. The talented 23-year-old hit a very respectable .294/.342/.475 with 12 home runs, 43 runs, 44 RBI and four steals in 343 at-bats in his first full major league season. Even without Verdugo, Los Angeles is one of the favorites to win the whole thing. Just goes to show you how loaded they are all around.
