Olabisi Johnson Ready For Bigger Role
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Olabisi Johnson is expected to be the team's No. 3 receiver behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs after Chad Beebe (ankle) suffered torn ligaments in his ankle in Week 3. "I’ll be the slot receiver," Johnson said. "I’m going in whenever we go to three-receiver sets and things like that." He played just 22 snaps in the first three games combined, but he should see more playing time this Sunday in a tough matchup with the Bears. The seventh-round pick has an opportunity, but Minnesota's run-first approach won't make Johnson an appealing dart throw, even in the deepest of leagues.
