Marcus Smart 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoBoston Celtics guard Marcus Smart is coming off a season that saw him improve his shooting percentages enough to make him a borderline must-own player across most formats. With a much-improved shooting split of .422/.364/.806, Smart is no longer the defense-only player he once was. He offers elite steal's numbers (1.8 a game in 2018-19) and solid 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.6 triples a night across 27.5 minutes (which was his lowest since his second season). With Kyrie Irving skipping town, but with the addition of Kemba Walker, we can assume Smart will provide similar stats, with possibly even a slight tick in efficiencies. If his shooting becomes more accurate, he has the potential for a solid top-75 ranking mainly because of his elite ability to rack up steals.
