Dewayne Dedmon 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoSacramento Kings center Dewayne Dedmon will find himself on a new squad for the upcoming 2019-20 season after a breakout year for the Hawks. Dedmon posted an underrated line of 10.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, 1.1 steals and 1.3 makes from three on a solid shooting split of .492/.382/.814 making him part of the elusive 1/1/1 club. The bad is that he missed the opening of the season due to injury, played a total of just 64 games last season and has averaged just 63 outings in his last two seasons. Dedmon is entering this season healthy and as the Kings’ starting center. With young big men Marvin Bagley and Henry Giles to see some minutes in the middle, we should still see the veteran play minute in the mid-to-late 20’s which is more than enough for him to maintain this mid-round value. He will most likely slip in drafts, so if you can grab him in and around or the 90’s or early 100’s, you should be getting a solid, bargain pick.
