Kevin Durant 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoBrooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant is set to miss most — if not all — of the 2019-2020 NBA season after tearing his Achilles in the NBA Finals last year. It would be a surprise to see Durant in a Nets uniform this year, though some around Brooklyn remain hopeful he could show up near the end of the season, though he’d likely be slowed from the injury and not given a full workload until the postseason in that scenario. Fantasy owners will have to decide if they think spending a late pick on Durant and then hoping he plays is worth it. It could be, but you’re essentially wasting a roster spot all season all for the slim hope that the Slim Reaper shows up on an NBA court. If you feel comfortable with the rest of your team, go ahead and spend a late round pick on Durant, but don’t be afraid to drop him if you need reinforcements during the season, especially if we don’t hear any updates on his timetable as the season goes along.
