5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery scored two touchdowns in the Eagles Week 1 victory. Jeffery caught five passes, gaining 49 yards, including a five-yard touchdown. He added a rushing touchdown, taking the ball into the end zone from two yards out. Jeffery's rushing touchdown was actually the only one the Eagles scored on the ground, making him, by at least one metric, the best rusher on the Eagles so far this season. DeSean Jackson took control of the passing game against the Washington defense, but if teams begin to pay more attention to Jackson, things should open up even more for Jeffery.
