5 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (quad) has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday. The Jays announced on Friday that Gurriel would likely be sidelined due to a Grade 1 quad strain. Luckily, it's only a Grade 1, so Gurriel should only be out for a few weeks. He's having a strong campaign in Toronto, so it's a shame to watch him go down like this. Derek Fisher will cover the outfield until Gurriel is able to return. Fisher is playing left field and batting seventh versus righty Chad Green on Saturday. Fisher has been unreliable with the bat since being called up.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
