Tiger Woods Has Withdrawn From The Northern Trust
5 years agoTiger Woods has withdrawn from the Northern Trust. In a written statement, Woods cited a "mild oblique strain that led to pain and stiffness" as the reason for his early exit from the first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs. He struggled mightily in his opening round Thursday at Liberty National, only managing a four-over par 75 in his first action since missing the cut at the Open Championship. Woods noted in his statement that he remains hopeful that he can compete in next week's BMW Championship, but the 15-time major champion is quickly becoming unplayable in DFS contests.
