Clayton Kershaw Picks Up 10th Win On Thursday
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw allowed two runs on six hits in six innings of work during Thursday's 8-2 win over the San Diego Padres. He struck out five batters, but control was a big issue, as he also walked five, which was a season-high. He also recorded the 2,397th strikeout of his career, passing Sandy Koufax for the third-most strikeouts in Dodgers' history. Kershaw has shaken off preseason squabble about injury concerns. He owns a 10-2 record to go along with a 2.85 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 122/27 K/BB rate. Kershaw will look to continue his success in his next projected start against the surging St. Louis Cardinals.
