Jakob Junis Hit Hard By Cleveland
5 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jakob Junis was lit up for six earned runs in six innings on Friday, earning him the loss. Junis struck out five, but he also gave up 10 hits and walked a pair. The loss came on the back of three straight quality starts for Junis, and it's only his second loss this month. Junis has become strangely predictable in that he's averaging one clunker of an outing every four times he steps on the mound, but it's not so predictable that it would be useful in fantasy. He's also surrendered 22 home runs, tied for seventh-most in the majors, and for a guy who doesn't strike a ton, that's not a good sign. He'll have a relatively easy start next time against the Blue Jays though.
