5 years agoThe final score of Wednesday afternoon's matchup between the New York Mets and Minnesota Twins doesn't tell the whole story. The Mets, who wound up winning by 10 wins, took the lead late in the game before demolishing Minnesota's pitchers. Utility man Dominic Smith had the biggest hit of the game as he smashed a three-run blast in the seventh, putting his team up by two. It was one of two hits on the day for Smith, who drove in four runs in total. The victory capped off a two-game sweep of the Twins, with New York getting set for a series against the San Francisco Giants next.--RDelgado
