J.P. Crawford Clubs Fourth Homer

Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford went 1-for-4 in Thursday's contest, slugging his fourth homer of the year in the 5-4 loss. His solo shot in the first inning broke a 1-for-15 slump, and he also chipped in with an RBI groundout in the third. Crawford is slashing a shiny .290/.361/.486 with 18 runs and 24 RBI in 36 games this year for the M's after a couple of underwhelming years in the Phillies organization. Perhaps change is what the 24-year-old needed as he is holding his own with the bat getting consistent reps out of the two-hole in the batting order. Crawford is a decent middle infield option in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues as there's still room for his bat to develop at his young age.
