DeMarre Carroll To Sign With Spurs
5 years agoFree agent forward DeMarre Carroll has agreed to a two-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs, leaving the Brooklyn Nets after two seasons. Carroll only started eight of his 67 games last year, but he provided the Nets with a solid wing option off the bench, scoring 11.1 points per game and adding 5.2 rebounds per contest. He shot 34.2 percent from three, but he’s shown the ability to shoot in the upper 30s at times in his career and the Spurs will be hoping he can be a solid three-and-d wing off their bench for the next two years. Carroll has likely hit the point in his career where his contributions won’t have a significant fantasy impact, though he should put up solid numbers over the course of the year. His game-to-game consistency, though, could be an issue depending on how the Spurs rotation shakes out.
