Dodgers Promote Gavin Lux And Dustin May To Triple-A
5 years agoTwo of the Los Angeles Dodgers' top prospects, middle infielder Gavin Lux and pitcher Dustin May, were promoted from Double-A Tulsa to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. Both had been having exceptional seasons at Tulsa. Lux was slashing .313/.375/.521 with 13 home runs, 37 RBI, 24 runs and seven stolen bases in 64 games. May had a 3.74 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 86 strikeouts and 20 walks over 79 1/3 innings. The Dodgers are so crowded at both middle infield and pitcher at the big league level that it's unlikely either player makes much of an impact this year. Lux would be the more likely of the two to get a chance if injuries strike the team's middle infielders hard in the second half. In dynasty leagues, they're both worthy stashes, but in season-long leagues, they can be left on waivers.
