Giancarlo Stanton's MRI Comes Back Clean
5 years agoWhile New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (knee) may once again land on the injured list, the results are in from his MRI and they're promising. The 29-year-old suffered what the club called a "knee contusion" Tuesday night, but the results from his MRI came back clean, meaning there's no structural damage and there was no swelling Wednesday morning. Regardless, manager Aaron Boone said Stanton's knee was sore and stiff and would be monitored closely the next few hours. Additionally, the slugger will likely make the trip to London for the two-game set against the Red Sox. Ultimately, it appears this isn't as bad as it could've been.
