Danny Duffy Labors Through Five Innings
5 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy was fortunate enough to come away with a no-decision in Monday's game against the Mariners after allowing multiple baserunners in all but one inning. A surprisingly strong bullpen and offensive performance bailed him out. Duffy allowed seven hits and three walks en route to four earned runs in five innings, but an eighth-inning blast by Jorge Soler snatched the win away from the Mariners. Duffy has been bad in three of his last four outings, and he really shouldn't be used at this point. Hosting the Twins this weekend is a perfect opportunity to not play Duffy in fantasy leagues.
