Jonathan Villar, Pedro Severino Should Return Soon
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles second baseman Jonathan Villar (thumb) said he could be ready to rejoin the lineup in a day or two after injuring his right thumb on Wednesday during a steal attempt in the fourth inning. Manager Brandon Hyde said Villar could be available on Thursday for defense or to pinch run. Catcher Pedro Severino (head) said he would be back in the lineup on Friday after passing concussion tests when he was hit by a foul ball Wednesday. Make sure you get Villar and Severino out of your lineups on Thursday. Villar has contributed across the board for those in mixed leagues but remains most attractive for his speed. Severino hit three homers in a game earlier this week but still isn't a very strong backstop for fantasy owners, even in two-catcher leagues.
